"Shattered Miracles", a Kuroko no Basket fanfiction that I have been working on since August of last year, was the reason why I could come out of the darkness that had infested my life. It renewed my wish and desire to write and gave me a reason to want to wake up the next morning. The story has gained countless supporters as it developed further and further and it has reached a point where it's no longer a baby monster.
That monster is now seeking for freedom too, much like I, the writer, did.
As such, I will make a proposal for all of you. "Shattered Miracles" will get an adaptation to light novel (in the same style as "Bad Blood") and have it's official debut. If it manages to reach one single goal.
Goal: By the time of its 1st birthday, which will be celebrated on August 10th, 2017, "Shattered Miracles" must reach 1,500 kudos.
What will this adaptation change?
Pretty much nothing. Every character will be adapted to a new one, of my own creation, but the storyline and plot will remain the same. What it changes is that, since I will fully own the characters now, I will be able to further even more the story and, in a way, "play around" with them to my hearts content.
The little something that may bother the people who have been following the story from the start, and those that wish to start to do it in the future, is that I will have to remove the chapters from Archive of Our Own the moment the correspondent volume comes out. A new chapter will continue to come out every Friday like usual, but as the official adaptation comes out, those chapters will be taken/removed from there.
And what will this adaptation include, you ask?
- Printed volumes in light novel format (colored cover illustration with several monochrome illustrations inside)
- Additional scenes + extras in each volume
- Each intermission will have its own volume, deepening the story even further
- Possibly more to be announced in the future
